Subject: Postcard of Theorist reading Mind of God
Now, with new, self-opening format of Print2Pict 3.0 you can receive
postcards without buying print2pict.
I have bought it because I want to send postcards of my theoretical
investigations and equations to professors who might never be motivated to
download huge Theorist viewer on the archive.
I am reading Paul Davies, "The Mind of God". He reflects on odd points of
view and ask questions that I am ashamed of not having thought of.
He tells of Richard Feynman speaking of Platonism, the belief that
mathematics is somehow out there to discover and not the mere invention of our
minds (formalism).
We observe, the sum of the first few cubes is always a square.
It is as if it were a phenomenon that was out there that we discovered.
But, where was this phenomenon?
By using variables, we can see that this is always true
for all sums of cubes from that of 1 to any integer. That is what
this postcard of a Theorist reading the Mind of God is about.
That is all it is about. As you can see it ain't much of a mindreading
accomplishment. There are still a lot of questions left unanswered.
But, maybe that is what it is all about!!!!
